(NEW YORK) — 2020 has been a year unlike any other. The United States entered the COVID-19 pandemic in March, and we’re still dealing with its effects on every aspect of society. Social justice demonstrations supporting the Black Lives Matter movement swept the nation and brought attention to America’s foundations in systemic racism. A divisive Presidential election left us all exhausted.

Everyone has pushed through this year in their own way. Many lost jobs, lost loved ones, or had to completely redirect their lives.

Watch this short documentary on Kristin Yancy, a black female artist, to hear her story about the past nine months.
