Liza Kaufman Hogan teaches Reporting and Writing for NYU’s American Journalism Online master’s program. Her 30-year career in journalism spans print and digital publications, starting as a beat reporter for The Northern Virginia Sun, followed by stints as a legal reporter for American Lawyer, a founding writer, and producer for CNN.com, and a founding editor for PBS/NextAvenue.org. She earned her master’s in journalism from Northwestern’s Medill School of Journalism and has taught journalism at Medill and NYU.
