CK Smith is a writer, editor, and educator from Tampa. She taught high school journalism, creative writing, and musical theatre and served as newspaper and yearbook adviser. She began her journalism career as founder and editor-in-chief of her high school paper and earned degrees in Mass Communications and English Literature. She will graduate in December 2021 with her MA in Journalism from NYU.
CK relies on experiences in education administration, as the owner of an events planning company, and as a freelance writer. She maintained a daily sports blog, copy edited projects like dissertations, depositions, and training manuals, and created her own stories.
She plans to use her NYU education to focus on long-form feature writing and editing.
