(NEW YORK) — Foley Square was alive with action as New York City advocates took to the street in protest of the anticipated Supreme Court ruling, overturning Roe v. Wade.

POLITICO released a leaked draft opinion written by Justice Samuel Alito expressing the intent to overturn the landmark case legalizing abortion. The document reveals that the decision would come as a 5-4 vote. While the vote is not finalized, pro-choice advocates are preparing for the worst.

Scenes like the one in lower Manhattan unfolded across the country as activists organized demonstrations and protests.

Not everyone at Foley Square agreed, though. A small group of pro-life protests was on the outskirts of the crowd, forming a counter-protest.
