Jeffrey Howard is a western North Carolina-based journalist covering  social and environmental issues in Appalachia, with bylines in Front Porch Republic, KUOW, The Paper, Spark, Shareable, etc.

He’s a reporter for The Click  and writer  with a creative agency on Long Island where he has written about wide-ranging topics from sustainability and accessibility to housing policy and Christian nationalism. He’s also editor-in-chief and founder of Erraticus and substacks at Common Appalachian.

Nonprofit Hands of Hope continues aiding Hispanic families post-Hurricane Helene
