Wynter Muro
Fontana, California
Natalya (Wynter) Muro is a reporter for The Click based in Fontana, California. She earned her B.A. in Criminology, Law and Society with a minor in Creative Writing from the University of California Irvine in Spring 2023 where she delivered the commencement speech to her graduating class. She also holds three associate degrees: an Associate of Science in Administration of Justice, an Associate of Arts in Journalism, and an Associate of Arts in University Studies with an emphasis in social and behavioral Sciences.
Muro was a reporter for the Chaffey Community College newspaper, The Breeze. She has worked as a legal assistant in the field of restorative justice and a mentor to underserved youth. Her work can be found on Spotlight, PA and her Substack newsletter, “Sincerely, your favorite season“.
Being a first-generation Mexican American student, Muro is excited to help pave the way for other students with similar backgrounds. She is passionate about academia and advocacy, hoping to one day work in a space that combines the two. Currently, she is pursuing a master’s degree in journalism at New York University. In her free time, she enjoys watching films, attending concerts, and writing poetry.
