(Orlando, Fla) – The distance between Iran and Orlando, Fla may be about 7,000 miles, but the impacts of the current war in Iran are having far-reaching impacts on Central Floridians. Anna V. Eskamani represents District 42 in the Florida House of Representatives, which includes Orlando. She is also the first Iranian-American elected to the Florida Legislature and currently is running to become the next mayor of Orlando.
Eskamani says while the war has not directly impacted her campaign, it is affecting the lives of her constituents. Eskamani sat down with The Click to explain the concerns being raised by Central Floridians with regards to affordability and the possibility of a “never-ending” war with Iran.
