Jennifer Mendoza is a reporter covering immigration in El Paso, Texas. She explained to The Click” there should be more reporting on just how difficult the immigration process is, even for those who immigrate to the U.S. “the right way.”

Jillian Kong-Slivert, an immigration attorney based in Arizona, also pointed out when the media covers immigration, certain attention-grabbing points, such as worms in food in detention centers, tend to be the focus, rather than interrogating the systems itself.
