(FAIRFIELD, N.J.) — New Jersey is home to America’s largest tattoo shop, the Ink Gallery in Fairfield. Tattoo artist Alexis Walter takes us through a typical day in her life.

“I feel like tattooing specifically has taught me to really trust myself, cause you can’t make mistakes when you’re tattooing on a person,” Walter said. “Even if you did make a micro mistake you have to learn how to work with that and I feel like that kind of has something to do with life. You have to be unapologetic  and go in and make sure every move you make is what you mean.”
