In the heart of New York City, Dr. Alyssa Hariprashad is rethinking what pelvic health care can look and feel like. As a pelvic floor physical therapist and founder of Blossom Pelvic Health, she’s created a space that feels less like a traditional medical office and more like a place where patients can truly relax, feel heard, and take control of their health.

“I always want somebody to walk in and feel like they’re going to be taken care of,” she said. “Not something overly clinical but a place where they feel comfortable and informed about their body.”

Her approach goes beyond symptom treatment. From assessing posture to performing internal exams when needed, Dr. Alyssa takes a comprehensive view of the body to better understand and treat pelvic floor dysfunction. Her work spans a wide range of needs from pelvic pain to pregnancy and postpartum care helping patients navigate experiences that are often overlooked or misunderstood.

Dr. Alyssa’s care is also shaped by her own personal journey. After publicly sharing her experience with egg freezing, she’s been able to connect with patients on a deeper level, especially those navigating fertility challenges. “Now that I can speak about my own experience, I feel like my patient care has gotten even better,” she explains.

For Dr. Alyssa, pelvic health isn’t just a specialty, it’s a calling. And through her work, she’s helping shift the conversation, making it more open, informed, and accessible for women everywhere.
