A wall of condoms, a table filled with breath fresheners, and a group of people reading off ice breakers to each other. This is a “Chaotic Singles” party, coined by LA local Cassidy Davis. The parties began when Davis and a couple of friends invited Tinder matches to her LA apartment.
“I’m so much more fun dating at a party with my friends,” Davis, who met her fiancé the night of the first Chaotic Singles party, confessed.
During the night, singles mingled and chatted with each other, some even partaking in the icebreakers that Davis had placed around the bar.
”I think we’re expecting like a hundred, a hundred plus people here, so it gives me hope that other people have hope,” said Aislin Ford, a party organizer.
While you have singles determined to meet potential romantic partners in person, you also have people who are using AI-centric dating apps to search for a significant other. Some aren’t even looking for love with a fellow human. AI relationships are increasing in popularity. r/MyBoyfriendIsAI, a popular reddit thread with an estimated 2.4 million visitors in the past 30 days.
