(ANAHEIM, Cal.) —  Disney just announced that a new theme park is coming to Abu Dhabi. But in Anaheim, California, the focus is on Disneyland turning 70 years old. Platinum Jubilee Anniversary celebrations are in full swing from May 16th to Summer 2026.

The party begins with all-new entertainment options. According to the Senior Manager of Technical Direction and Design for Live Entertainment at the Disneyland Resort, Mari Cataldo, special events are coming to both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure, including the return of fan-favorite parade, “Paint the Night,” and fireworks spectuclar, “Wondrous Journeys,” on top of a brand new World of Color water spectacular featuring many beloved Pixar characters.

Disney’s theme park cast is ready to make magic at the reopening of Carnation Café on Main Street U.S.A. Serena Sammons, the restaurant’s front of house lead and a Traditions Facilitator at Disney University, told The Click to look for new menu items at every turn, including a brand new Karl Strauss Brewing Company IPA custom-made for the 70th Anniversary.

The Disneyland Resort is a place of nostalgia and joy for many, and Sammons is no exception.  She brings her own family back to the parks as a Cast Member- a role reversal from the countless years her parents brought her to the park as a child.

There’s so much to see from exclusive merchandise to over 70 new menu items and limited-time decor. Some characters will even don limited-time celebratory costumes.

Guests can also look forward to special pricing this summer. For vacations from May 16th to August 24th, 2025, tickets will be priced as low as $100 a day for a four-day trip. For 3-day, 1 park per day vacations, guests will pay as low as $120 a day for those same dates.

Guests from all across the world are expected to attend the 70th Anniversary celebrations and the theme: Celebrate Happy!
