Monday, Nov. 2, 7:00 P.M. (The Night Before)

Over 50 million ballots have been cast for the 2026 Midterm Elections — about 29 million in-person early voting and 25 million mail-in ballots. This is up from the 2022 Midterms, with only 46 million people voting prior to Election Day.

Up for grabs this time around is all 435 seat in the U.S. House of Representatives, 35 Senate seats, 36 Governors’ mansions, 164 ballot measures in 40 states, and thousands of other local positions for roles like judgeships, school board members, city council members, state attorneys, and more.

Our reporters are covering some of the most talked about races this election cycle — from the contentious Senate races in Michigan and Texas to Ohio’s gubernatorial clash to ballot measures on abortion and gay marriage.

We’ll be keeping a live blog of our stories and any major updates as they are called on Election Day.

The first polls close at 6:00 p.m. (EST) on Tuesday, Nov. 3, and we’ll be watching and reporting until the last count has come in after Alaska’s polls close at 1:00 a.m. early Wednesday morning.

Stay tuned.
