(PORTLAND, Ore.) — A new class of Royal Rosarians has been welcomed into Portland royalty.

At over 113 years old, this organization is steeped in tradition. Council members, friends, and family convened at the Crowne Plaza Hotel to undergo this historic celebration on Saturday night.

Former Rose Festival Queen Anya Anand dubbed nine new members Knights and Dames of the mythical Realm of Rosaria. They will play an important role in this year’s Rose Festival, with events beginning May 23rd.
