CK Smith is a writer, editor, and educator from Tampa. She taught high school journalism, creative writing, and musical theatre and served as newspaper and yearbook adviser. She began her journalism career as founder and editor-in-chief of her high school paper and earned degrees in Mass Communications and English Literature and graduated in December 2021 with her MA in Journalism from NYU.
CK relies on experiences in education administration, as the owner of an events planning company, and as a freelance writer. She maintained a daily sports blog, copy edited projects like dissertations, depositions, and training manuals, and created her own stories.
She current works for a local ABC affiliate as their weekend planner and data journalist, teaches communications and journalism at a university, and works with AJO’s Writing Center and The Click! as a editor and coach.
